The Farm

graham nussey the farm

We are extremely proud of our nearby Awre Farm, run by Graham.

Our Farm of approximately 25 acres houses a variety of rare breeds including 28 Herefordshire cows and a mixture of Southdown, Kerry Hill, Dorset and Swaledale sheep.  We are particularly proud of Prince George, our Guernsey goat, and Princess Charlotte, a pygmy goat.

There are also Tamworth pigs and plenty of ducks, geese and chickens.

In addition we grow a multitude of vegetables, fruit and salad leaves on our farm.

The importance of all this, and why we are so proud, is that the produce goes straight to the kitchens at Sydenham House.  The meat, vegetables, fruit and eggs that our residents feast on every day couldn’t have been grown more locally!

In addition our residents regularly enjoy trips up to the farm to see the latest progress with the animals.
